Talk About Records, in collaborazione con Magnatone USA, è lieta di presentare “A Box of Things”, il nuovo Ep della blues band Sunsweet Blues Revenge. 6 tracce che riflettono le influenze cardine della band, di chiara ispirazione electric blues, che non disdegna però delle strizzate d’occhio verso contaminazioni soul di fine anni 60, con richiami a Otis Redding e Sam Cooke, o derive new blues debitrici dell’approccio giovane di interpreti come Gary Clark jr o band come gli Alabama Shakes. “A Box of Things” è l’inizio di una nuova era delle SBR, un piccolo contenitore di brani scritti, arrangiati, suonati e mixati dalla band stessa. Un breve pit stop dopo un lungo periodo lontano dai live e di ore passate in sala prove per sfornare nuovo materiale che anticipa un prossimo lavoro in studio per un disco indubbiamente più profondo e più maturo. L’EP, anticipato dal video live di “That Time is over” è prodotto dall’etichetta Talk About Records (già dietro i lavori di River of Gennargentu, King Howl, The Blues against Youth, Donnie) in 100 copie assemblate e numerate a mano, disponibili ai concerti della band o sul negozio online della label. Le Sunsweet Blues Revenge nascono nel 2011, il loro sound richiama le pennate sporche del Delta Blues, a tratti la morbidezza del Soul e la cattiveria del New Blues. Calcano i più importanti palchi del panorama blues italiano: Mamma Blues (Dromos Festival), Italian Blues River, Ameno Blues, Aglientu Blues Festival, Blues & Beer, Blues In…Contro, Festival Baranta, Out Of The Blue’s (CH), Bloom In Blues, Rocce Rosse Blues, Pistoia Blues avendo la fortuna di dividere e condividere il palco con grandi personaggi del Blues, nazionali ed interazionali, quali Francesco Piu & Pablo Leoni, Paolo Bonfanti, Guitar Ray & The Gamblers, Sherman Robertson e Fabio Treves. Nel 2012 pubblicano il loro primo disco “Better Luck Next Time” e successivamente nel 2015 un disco EP in tiratura limitata.

Talk About Records, in collaboration with Magnatone USA, is glad to present “A Box of Things”, the brand-new Sunsweet Blues Revenge EP. Six tracks that reflect the band main influences, definitely coming from an electric blues inspiration, but also with some ’60s soul contaminations, mainly from artists like Otis Redding e Sam Cooke, or new blues coming from Gary Clark jr and Alabama Shakes. “A Box of Things” is the beginning of a new era for Sunsweet Blues Revenge, a small container of songs written, arranged, played and mixed by the band. A short pit-stop after a long break from the live activity and lots of time working on the tracks, cranking out new material, anticipating the next album, certainly deeper and more mature. The Live video “That Time Is Over” disclose the EP release, produced by Talk About Records (River Of Gennargentu, King Howl, The Blues against Youth, Donnie), 100 handmade and hand numbered, available during the band concerts or on the label online store. It is also available as online streaming and digital download from the main web music stores (iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Napster, Deezer). The video is realized by the fundamental support of MAGNATONE USA, Irene’s official endorsement.

Sunsweet Blues Revenge formed in 2011, their sound recalls the dirty strumming of the Delta Blues, sometimes the softness of soul and the wickedness of new blues. They performed in the most important italian blues stages: Mamma Blues (Dromos Festival), Italian Blues River, Ameno Blues, Aglientu Blues Festival, Blues & Beer, Blues In…Contro, Festival Baranta, Bloom in Blues, Rocce Rosse Blues, Pistoia blues and Out Of The Blue’s in Switzerland having the great chance to share the stage with great blues artists, both national and international, such as Francesco Piu & Pablo Leoni, Paolo Bonfanti, Guitar Ray & The Gamblers, Sherman Robertson and Fabio Treves. In 2012 they release their first album “Better Luck Next Time” and in 2015 an EP produced in very limited edition.

Il nuovo brano del blues combo sardo ha come protagonista una persona che ha dedicato tutta se stessa verso un qualcuno a cui non è importato: “That time is over” descrive il momento in cui ci si accorge del tempo perso, in cui si fa strada una nuova consapevolezza, quella legata al riscatto di se stessi. Musicalmente il brano riflette le influenze cardine della band, di chiara ispirazione electric blues, strizzando però l’occhio verso contaminazioni soul di fine anni 60, con richiami a Otis Redding e Sam Cooke, o derive new blues debitrici dell’approccio giovane di interpreti come Gary Clark jr o band come gli Alabama Shakes. Ad arricchire il suono di Irene Loche (chitarra e voce), Gian Luca Canu (basso e voce), Alessandro Cau (batteria e voce) anche un organo hammond (Marco Coa) ed una sezione fiati (Federico Fenu e Mauro Diana).

Il video, girato presso il teatro comunale di Terralba dal collettivo B-Sides (Emilio Moretti, Laura Pinna e Dario Baragone) precede la release dell’Ep “A Box Of Things”, che in aprile verrà pubblicato dalla Talk about Records nei principali web stores musicali (iTunes, Spotify, Napster, Deezer) e soprattutto in 100 copie confezionate e numerate a mano.

Talk About Records, in collaboration with Magnatone USA, is proud to present “That Time Is Over”, a new live video by Sunsweet Blues Revenge. This new song from the sardinian blues combo talks about a person who has devoted him/herself to someone who really didn’t care. “That Time Is Over” describes the moment when he/she realizes the wasted time, where a new awareness makes its way to the redeem of him/herself. Musically, it reflects the electric blues influences of the band clearly, but with an eye towards the late 60s soul influences, with references to Otis Redding and Sam Cooke, or differently to new blues artists such as Gary Clark Jr. or bands like Alabama Shakes. To improve the sound from Irene Loche (guitar, main vocals), Gian Luca Canu (bass guitar, backing Vocals), Alessandro Cau (drums, percussions, backing Vocals), here you have Marco Coa (hammond, backing vocals) and a horn section with Federico Fenu (trombone, backing vocals), Mauro Diana (saxophone, backing vocals).

The video, filmed at the Terralba Municipal Theatre by B-Sides (Emilio Moretti, Laura Pinna and Dario Baragone) preceeds the band new EP “A Box Of Things” which will be released in April by Talk About Records in the most important web stores (iTunes, Spotify, Napster, Deezer) and most importantly in 100 physical copies, packed and numbered by hand.
